Life’s a Ball

They crawl all over and leech,
chisel at the core and remove,
precious goodness from the sphere, they transform
it’s energy, providing them with a life, entrapped,
wherever they turn they remain.
To continue their lives they destroy it’s life,
is that just the nature of existence?
It would have been great, so much to enjoy,
but for those ants on the bubblegum ball.
